About us
ECKSHIP is an independent service provider for ship owners and cargo owners. Our experienced team of shipping professionals helps ship owners and cargo owners to optimize results by minimizing risk and liability. Originally founded as Arkon Projects in 2007 and jointly owned by Arkon Shipping and Thomas Cord. At the beginning of 2021 , Arkon Shipping sold their shares to the Rhenus Group, leading to the renaming of the company as RMS Projects. By the end of 2024, Thomas Cord acquired the shares from Rhenus, resulting in the company being rebranded as ECKSHIP GmbH & Co KG. This transaction played a crucial role in strengthening and advancing our company for the future.

ECKSHIP is a leading specialist in ocean transportation, marine contracting, COA- and project management, newbuilding development, S&P and shipmanagement. Eckship has a special focus on the bulk, project and heavy lift market segment. Our commercial shipmanagement service for shipowners includes short- and longterm employment on time- and voyage charter basis. The Central Chartering Desk provides a full freight management solution for shippers and forwarders.
